Activities after birth:
- After birth a CPR number will be automatically created and registered under the parents CPR with no name
- Parents must register name for the newborn on borger.dk before the child turns 1 year
- Once name is registered a birth certificate will be issued and sent to parents eBoks.
- Get the birth certificate and get it attested by Danish Foreign Ministry
- Yellow card is issued automatically after the birth certificate is issued
Applying for Indian Passport:
- Register child’s birth in the Indian Birth Registration portal (https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in) and download a copy.
- Prepare a cover letter with details of the child.
- Make a copy of the application filed online.
- 4 photo 5×5 cm, 70% face projection, glossy & sharp photo with white background.
- Attach original and copy of yellow card- parents.
- Attach Original and copy of Birth Certificate attested by Danish Foreign ministry.
- Attach Original and copy of marriage certificate.
- Attach 1st and last page of self-attested copy of parent’s passport.
Residence Card:CIRCUMCISION IF NEW BORN CHILD IS A BOY:
- After receiving passport, apply for Residence Permit (Type depends on the parent’s residence permit)
- Check nyidenmark for details.
